Setting up Checkpoint Lab on VirtualBox Hey I am trying to setup the checkpoint lab as done in the CBTnuggets series by keith, but i am using VirtualBox instead of VMware. (i'll add the diagram once i reach home from work).

The GNS3 server tunnel is misconfigured/disconnected between your Windows host and the IOU virtual machine. Just a FYI, it's recommended to NOT run more than a single type 2 hypervisor at the same time because of possible VT-x conflict.

It looks like you're running both VMware Workstation and VirtualBox from your screenshots. The VirtualBox method to resolve your error has been documented numerous times on this forum, so the search function is your friend. The following solution should help if you do happen to run the IOU VM on VMware. Get the IP address for the host interface, connected to the VMnet, that is shared with the IOU virtual machine. My IOU virtual machine is connected to the standard NAT ( VMnet8) network, so I would run the following command from a PowerShell prompt.

Install Linux Mint On Virtualbox

I assign the 10 series IP to the checkpoint installation but then the VB network adapter retains its 192 range IP address, I'm not very familiar with how virtual adapters work and how to do the routing. I then added the CP VM to GNS3 and used the cloud to add the VB adapter and gave it an addition IP in the 10 range which then worked, but how do I talk to my VB CP installations without using GNS? Really appreciate any help! Thanks for the notes! Yes all on one system. Now i have just installed the mgmt yet and assigned 10.1.1.25(eth0 on gaia for mgmt) to it.

And I see just one 'virtualbox host only network'(and it has 192.186.156.1 IP in its propertiesIPv4) adapter created in network connections and the other one is my wifi adapter. Where do I assign another 10.1.1.0 range to talk to this 10.1.1.25?? In gns I used the cloud and connected my wifi adapter to it and assigned an additional 10.1.1.100 to it so it worked. But yes it should work without gns!
